Dans le cadre de l’inauguration du Centre présidentiel Obama qui a eu lieu à Chicago au cours des dernières heures, l’ancien président américain Barack Obama était accompagné pour une rare fois de ses filles, Malia et Sasha.
Ces dernières font moins d’apparitions en public depuis les dernières années.
L’ancienne première dame Michelle Obama, qui est la conjointe et mère des enfants de Barack Obama, était également présente pour l’inauguration du musée présidentiel qui attire les regards avec sa tour de 69 mètres sans fenêtres.

Barack Obama a d’ailleurs décidé de construire son musée à Chicago parce que c’est dans cette ville que ses filles sont nées et où son parcours politique comme président des États-Unis a débuté.
Outre les Obama, d’autres anciens présidents américains étaient présents en compagnie de leurs femmes: George W. Bush avec Laura Bush, Bill Clinton avec Hillary Clinton et Joe Biden avec Jill Biden. Ils ont tous eu la chance de vivre dans la célèbre Maison Blanche.
Donald Trump, le président actuel, n’était pas présent lors de l’inauguration. Ce dernier souhaite aussi avoir son propre musée, mais à Miami.

Des artistes bien connus ont offert des performances lors de l’inauguration du Centre présidentiel Obama. On a notamment pu voir sur scène Christina Aguilera, Bono, Bruce Springsteen et Stevie Wonder.
D’autres célébrités et personnalités politiques ont aussi assisté à l’événement comme Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Angela Merkel, Kamala Harris et Nancy Pelosi.
Et grande surprise: l’ancien premier ministre du Canada Justin Trudeau était également présent pour l’occasion. Il a même partagé une photo en compagnie de Barack Obama qui est devenue virale sur les réseaux sociaux au cours des dernières heures.
