Originaire de République tchèque, Jakub Dobeš a quitté son pays natal très jeune afin de poursuivre son rêve de jouer au hockey professionnel.
À seulement 16 ans, il a laissé derrière lui son village natal pour poursuivre son développement aux États-Unis dans le monde du hockey.
Celui qui a permis au Tricolore d’avancer en séries grâce à plusieurs arrêts spectaculaires face aux Lightning de Tampa Bay et aux Sabres de Buffalo, Jakub Dobeš aura déjà écrit une partie de l’histoire des Canadiens de Montréal.
D’ailleurs, saviez-vous que lors de sa première saison avec les Canadiens de Montréal, l’accent sur le «Š» du nom de famille de Jakub Dobeš n’apparaissait pas sur son chandail?
Il s’agissait simplement d’un petit oubli de l’équipe d’équipement. Le changement a ensuite été corrigé.
